The Silver Controller is designed to provide the ability to adjust the output of silver recovery equipment. In the three level mode (at a predetermined silver concentration) the controller will provide a switch closure and activate a receptacle. This will either turn a silver recovery cell ON/OFF or will start the Silver Cell in the low current position. When the silver exceeds a second silver concentration (e.g. 0.75 gm/l), the high setting on the Silver Cell power supply is activated. When the controller is in the high mode, a second relay is activated as well as an additional receptacle. Both the high and low settings are equipped with adjustable deadband controls. The deadband controls adjust the range during which the set-point is activated (e.g. ON at 0.7 gm/1, OFF at 0.5 gm/1.). In addition to preset high and low settings, the Silver Controller provides a 1-5 VDC and 4-20 ma. output for proportional controls. The Silver Controller is easily installed in the circulating line with a 1 1/2" PVC "T" provided with the unit.

If the electrolytic cell is designed for an on/off operation and the power requirement is less than 15 amps., the unit is plugged directly to the controller for automatic operation Additional receptacles are provided to operate a replenisher pump and a remote signaling device when the Silver Cell calls for plating.

The Silver Controller is capable of automating the fixer replenishment system by utilizing the low setpoint powered receptacles or relay contacts. Replenishment will occur when plating is initiated. The use of the high set-point receptacles or relay contacts will allow the use of a sulfite solution, or extra replenisher to compensate for the increased plating rate.
